2013 Spring Newsletter

Preparations are already underway for the 2013 Football.

To become a part of Grossmont College's rich football tradition apply now to attend spring workouts.

If you would like to join our spring football class and get a jump on the competition we will be working out M/T/W/TH 3:00-5:00 pm holding both on field football drills as well as strength and conditioning workouts in our two weight rooms.

This is a great opportunity for you to gain power, speed, and strength for the upcoming season, as well as position technique work and getting acclimated to the offensive and defensive systems.

  • Over the last decade Grossmont College football has produced more scholarships for their athletes
    than any of the other San Diego Community Colleges.
  • 20 players in the last 2 decades inducted into the National Football Foundation Hall of Fame as San
    Diego's best Scholar athletes. More than the other SD Community College.
  • GC has had more Community College All Americans as well as academic All Americans than the
    other local schools.

IMPORTANT PROCEDURES TO FOLLOW FOR FALL
1. Any questions about academic procedures, phone our athletic academic specialist at 619-644-7423 or 619-644-7822
2. Any football questions, phone Coach Robinson at 619-644-7148

AS SOON AS POSSIBLE
1. Get application filled out: www.grossmont.edu
2. Visit financial aid office, if you think you'll qualify.
3. Take Eng/Math placement test ASAP. See our school website for dates or phone Athletic Academic office at 619-644-7423
4. After you complete above, make an appointment with Patrick at the Academic Office and he will get your classes for the fall.

NOTE THE FOLLOWING
YOU MUST BE ENROLLED IN THE FOOTBALL CLASSES BEFORE YOU CAN PARTICIPATE IN THE SUMMER. You will earn 2.5 college credits toward your AA degree.
DO NOT FOLLOW THE LISTED TIMES OR DAYS THAT ARE IN THE PUBLISHED SCHEDULE. CHECK ABOVE FOR CORRECT DAYS AND TIMES.
