My claim to fame:  I have moved 16 times in my life!

I was born and raised in the Philippines and moved to Guam when I was 15 years old.  I began my higher education at University of Guam, prior to transferring to San Francisco State University and earning a bachelor's degree in Computer Science with a minor in Mathematics. I married my high school sweetheart right after college and continued to live in the Bay Area for 10 years. We then moved to Kirkland, WA and lived there for 3 years. We decided to move back to California and settled in San Diego.  I went on to complete a master's degree in Mathematics at San Diego State University.  I am now on my 17th year of teaching, my 9th year here at Grossmont College and I enjoy every minute of it!

Outside the classroom, I spend most of my quality time with my husband and two boys (ages 21 and 16) - from traveling, watching movies and concerts, riding bikes, playing tennis, and walking to watching football games. I also spend a lot of time volunteering at my younger son's high school.

My weakness:  sweets and desserts - any.  I eat them all!
