Password Help

You can reset your own password in WebAdvisor if you happen to forget it—and you can do this 24-hours a day, automatically!  This only works if you have a current e-mail address on file.  So if you can’t remember your WebAdvisor password, and you’ve tried looking at your password hint and that didn’t help, then here’s the procedure:

  1. Go to WebAdvisor and click on the blue Current Students menu icon.
  2. Click on the “What’s my Password?” link
  3. Click on the “I don’t remember, reset my password” link
  4. Enter your last name, and either your social security number or your Colleague ID number* (not both)
  5. Click the SUBMIT button
  6. You will then be shown a drop-down list of e-mail addresses you have on file in Datatel—choose one and click the SUBMIT button
  7. In about 1-2 minutes you will receive an e-mail that contains a one-time use temporary password that will allow you to log in to WebAdvisor.  As soon as you log in you will be told that your password has expired—now you can set up your own password!  Remember, when it asks for your “old password” you need to enter whatever you used to get to that screen—in this case it would be the one-time password from the e-mail you received.
