Postseason honors for Moyer, Green

(4/27/2009) Scholarship Update: Grossmont head coach Jamie Ivers announced that Dayna Moyer has accepted a full-scholarship from University of Arkansas Monticello.



Grossmont's Dayna Moyer was named to the PCC All-Conference Second team, and Shea Green was received an honorable mention for the PCC All conference team.

Congratulations to Dayna, Shea and Head Coach Jamie Ivers.

Braddock, Williams sign for 2008

(1/22) El Cajon, CA - Grossmont College Women's Volleyball coach Jamie Ivers was proud to announce that two players from her 2007 squad will continue on their college careers next season.

Courtney Braddock has accepted a volleyball scholarship to Bethany College in Kansas.

Teammate Kattey Williams is continuing her volleyball career, at San Diego Christian College.


Two freshman named All-PCC

Grossmont volleyball players Dayna Moyer and Shea Green have been named to the All-Pacific Coast Conference Second Team. Moyer is a six-foot freshman middle blocker from Granite Hills High School, and Green, also a middle blocker is a 5-11 freshman from Cathedral High School.


2007 Season to begin

(8/28) Head coach Jamie Ivers' 2007 Grossmont Griffins will open the season with a scrimmage at the Grossmont gym this Saturday, September 1st at 9am.

The Griffins will open up their regular season schedule on the road September 4th at College of the Desert. Grossmont's home opener will be September 10th at 5pm versus Golden West.


Scoring Update
  • (10/15) Grossmont beat SD City in three games. 30-25, 30-28, 30-26. Dayna Moyer had 12 kills 3 errors, Shea Green had 15 kills 4 errors, and Breanna Rice had 7 kills 0 errors.

Dana Moyer noted by PCC

(10/4) Dayna Moyer received honorable mention for player of the week. Moyer, a freshman middle blocker from Granite Hills High School, had 12 kills (three errors) on 22 attempts, a .409 hitting percentage, in a loss to Saddleback. She came back with 11 kills (three errors) on 20 attempts, a .400 hitting percentage, in a loss to Santa Monica.

The Griffins also beat Cuyamaca in 5 games on October 3rd, 30-25, 30-26, 28-30, 23-30, 15-6. The kill leaders were Dayna Moyer with 12 kills, Stephanie Whitmoyer with 12 kills, and Kristana Burreacce with 11 kills. Kasha Figuero lead with digs with 16. Thanks.
