Text Book Information for Biology

I HAVE LISTED MY REQUIRED BOOKS BELOW.

TEXT BOOK INFORMATION FOR BIOLOGY 110 (scroll down to the bottom of the page for a list of on-line vendors)

Text books have become one of the most expensive components of earning an education. In my classes, the lectures drive the course.

I have worked out a deal with the publisher to make CUSTOM editions of my books available to you. They will only include the chapters we cover. No longer will you be purchasing a general text that includes chapters you do not need. This will save you at least 50%. The custom textbooks are listed below.

Also, as a rule, Barnes and Noble (the book vendor in the Grossmont College bookstore), IS NOT going to provide you with the best deal.

I would suggest you go on-line, or, try Ross Books found in the Navajo shopping center at the corner of Navajo and Lake Murray Blvd. (8868 Navajo Rd., San Diego, CA 92119, 619-698-2665).

I do not have any financial relationship with Ross Books. I just think they give you a better deal than B&N.

My required and recommended books::

BIOLOGY 110 (ENVIRONMENTAL BIOLOGY):

1) Text Required: Biology 110 Lab and Field Manual
2) Text Required: Dictionary of Word Roots and Combining Forms. Borror
3) Text Required: Campbell Biology: Concepts and Connections Abridged 2nd edition (you can also us a used edition of any recent General Biology text book).
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

However, DO MAKE SURE YOU PURCHASE ONE OF THE BOOKS! You will not be successful in this class without a text book.

LIST OF ON-LINE VENDERS: I haven't updated this list in a while. Talk to other students as well about alternate text book purchase options.
(I have no financial relationship with any of the following venders. I just want you to have options)

http://www.paperbackswap.com/index.php: "It allows you to trade books with other members. You list the books your willing to trade and for every book you send a member you receive a book credit to receive any other members book that you might want. "
