Summer Institute Program

(EOPS - Extended Opportunity Programs & Services)

In alignment with California Shelter in Place orders, as well as, CDC guidelines, Grossmont College has worked to provide all classes remotely.  Given that the foundation of our Summer Institute Program is community building, we have made the tough decision not to host SIP during Summer 2020.

We are here help, support and encourage all of our incoming students who are interested in SIP to please apply for some of the following programs:

 


The EOPS Summer Institute Program (SIP) is designed to help first time college students get a head-start on their academic career by preparing incoming freshmen for the rigors of college.

The six-week program helps students:

  • develop skills, knowledge and study habits to be successful in college

  • achieve graduation or transfer goals in a timely manner

  • complete courses that transfer to CSU and UC Universities

 


Participants enjoy:

  • Personalized academic counseling

  • Meet campus leaders

  • Transportation assistance

  • Free textbook rentals

  • Meal cards

  • Priority registration
    (for EOPS eligible students)

  • First Year Experience (FYE)
    (admissions for non-EOPS eligible students)

  • University tour

  • Fun, interactive activities
