(2/10/2016) Grossmont Head Coach Larry Larsen announced today that the 2016 PCAC Conference Champion Griffins received an top academic honor from the CCCAA.
Grossmont Swim & Dive are a CCCAA Scholar Team. The special award emphasizes academic achievements of all of the members of a specific team.
In a letter, CCCAA President Carlyle Carter said, "This is an honor that should be the objective of all our sports teams, and one for which you should be extremely proud."
The Griffins will be formally honored at the CCCAA Convention in March.
"I could not be more proud of this accomplishment," said Larsen.
"To succeed as conference champions, and not have the caliber of student-athletes who earn this award is more than any coach could ask for."
