Griffin Radio is a practical applications laboratory for students to learn about on and off-air radio/audio production techniques. Students learn first-hand what it takes to manage, produce and operate at a radio station.
Griffin Radio is owned and operated by the Grossmont-Cuyamaca Community College District in El Cajon, California.
The national award-winning Griffin Radio is accessed through the Media Communications Department at Grossmont College. It is offered as a class (MCOM-119) as part of the department's curriculum after appropriate pre-requisites are met (MCOM-116 and/or MCOM-113).
Executive Staff consists of the following positions. With the exception of the general manager, the term of an executive staff member is usually for one academic year.
