The Grossmont College Cardiovascular Technology Program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs, and was the first accredited program of its kind in the nation. The program consists of three specialities: adult echocardiography; invasive cardiology; and vascular technology.
More than 2,000 students have graduated from the program and are now working at medical centers and hospitals such as Kaiser Permanente, Scripps Health and Sharp Grossmont, in addition to doctor's offices and clinics around the region.

The Grossmont College Nursing program is approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing and accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing. Our graduates have among the highest NCLEX-RN pass rates in California, with nearly 97 percent of students passing the exam in 2017.
The RN program admits 40 students in the fall and spring semesters. In addition to the four semesters of core nursing courses, prerequisite courses are needed prior to applying to the program.

In the Occupational Therapy program, students will learn about the fundamentals of therapeutic settings, the terminology used in rehabilitation settings, the dynamics of human movement, and business management skills and the law as related to occupational therapy.
All core courses are offered in the evenings only. Clinicial experiences are available during the daytime and on weekends. Virtually all students pass the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy exam and are working in the field.

The one-year Orthopedic Technology program at Grossmont College is designed to provide you with the professional skills in the rapidly changing field of healthcare. Students receive hands-on training applying casts and splints, assisting in the reduction of fractures, and aiding orthopedic surgeons in medical procedures.
More than 90 percent of students graduating from the Orthopedic Technology program pass the National Board exam for certification in Orthopedic Technology.

The Respiratory Therapy program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care, which allows graduates to take the licensure exam needed to work as a professional respiratory therapist.
Virtually all graduates pass the National Board for Respiratory Care examination for certified respiratory therapists and registered respiratory therapists. The vast majority of graduates find work within a year.
