Librarian Faculty Evaluation

  • Librarians at the reference desk shall be observed for a minimum of 50 minutes.
  • Librarians in a teaching situation are evaluated as an instructor. Please refer to the correct page for the instructor of record's status.

Librarian Evaluations consist of three components:

  • Manager Component  - Observation minimum of 50 minutes
  • Peer Component - Observation minimum of 50 minutes
      • In the case of tenure track faculty, two peers are assigned.
  • Student Component
    • Librarians being evaluated at the reference desk hand out a student component including six departmental questions. Please instruct students to return their completed evaluations to the envelope at the Circulation desk, where they will be picked up by a third party.
    • Scantrons with Librarian Evaluation questions must be obtained from the Faculty Evaluations Office.
