What is CalWORKs?

Mission Statement

Our mission is to support parents in achieving their academic goals and help them to create new opportunities for themselves, their children, and the community.

 

The CalWORKs Program

The CalWORKs Program serves student parents in reaching their educational goals. In collaboration with the County of San Diego,  the CalWORKs  Program assists eligible students with academic planning, mentorship, work-study, childcare, books, and transportation.


In addition, CalWORKs staff serves as a liaison between the college and the San Diego
County of Health and Human Services [HHSA] (Department of Social Services).
