Step 2: Assessment/Placement

If you completed the Assessment Questionnaire (AQ) AND have taken the placement test, the college will use the higher placement of the two

Step 3: View Assessment Results

If you need help understanding your placement results, please see a counselor

Step 4: Create an Academic Plan

  • Speak with a counselor for help creating a comprehensive academic plan

Step 5: Review Math Pathways

  • Review Math Pathways to determine a course sequence that aligns with your educational goals

    (Based on placement results)

Step 6: Register for Classes

  • Always check course prerequisites when planning your schedule of classes
    (View the Prerequisite Clearance list)

  • If you think you've met the prerequisite requirement though another college, plan to submit your prerequisite clearance form well in advance

  • If you are registering for a Math course that is tied to a companion course, allow time in your schedule to take both classes simultaneously
