Professional Development Committees

Professional Development at Grossmont College is supported by three committees that work closely with the Office of Professional Development to inform professional development activities.

  1. The Professional Development Committee: Is a Participatory Governance Committee that carries out planning and evaluation of professional development programming which enhances the college’s readiness to achieve its strategic goals and mission. It also supports the institution’s continuous improvement and its diverse personnel. The committee identifies emerging trends from annual unit plans and program review to inform professional development.   2. The Faculty Professional Development Committee: Is a committee of the Academic Senate with purview over faculty flexible calendar obligations and oversees the development of flex week.
  3. The Classified Professional Development Committee: Represents the voice and needs of Classified Professionals.
