Fall 2017 Classified Staff Campus Connect

CAMPUS CONNECT is a professional development opportunity for contract classified staff members from one area of campus to gain insight into another area on campus via a CAMPUS CONNECT visit.

We are excited to continue to offer this Professional Development Program designed specifically for our campus’ Classified Staff: CAMPUS CONNECT. This program has emerged from our analysis of the campuswide Professional Development Needs Assessment as well as conversations across campus.

Submit an Activity for Professional Development Credit

There are two ways to seek approval for Professional Development events:

  • Through a proposal (like during FLEX week) where faculty propose a workshop or event be added to the FLEX week or Professional Development Calendar.
  • The second way is via submission of an independent proposal to the faculty members dean.

If you wish to submit a workshop or activity to be approved for professional development credit and be added to the professional development calendar please use the link below:

Professional Development Culture and Climate Survey Information

The faculty, staff and administrators of Grossmont College are working hard to put
students first. In the face of changing student demographics, significant changes
in the campus’ leadership, and a cohort of newly hired faculty, the college’s leaders
commissioned an evaluation to explore the topics of professional development and
campus culture and climate. This effort was carefully and deliberately designed to
give voice to the full college workforce in order to understand the current states of
various elements across the organization and inform the college’s strategic planning. To read the survey findings click on the link below:
