Prerequisites and Equivalents

Required Prerequisites to Apply to the Program:
  Units
Chemistry 115 + Lab Fundamentals of Chemistry 4
AND
Biology 144 and Biology 145 Anatomy and Physiology I Anatomy and Physiology II 8
OR
Biology 140 and Human Anatomy 5
Biology 141 + 141L Human Physiology + Lab 4
Total Units: 12-13
Prerequisites Recency
All Biology and Chemistry prerequisites must be completed no longer than 7 years from the date of application to the CVT Program.
All courses must be completed with a grade "C" or higher.  Courses taken outside of the United States and its territories must be evaluated by a credentialing service prior to submitting an application. Grossmont College and the Cardiovascular Technology Program accepts official transcripts from the International Education Research Foundation (IERF) or ACEI. A detailed report is required for college courses and a general report is required for high school courses.
