[1] Copyright 1980. Bangs wrote the song lyrics while living in Austin and making music with The Delinquents. The title was perhaps meant to be an ironic play on "It Never Rains In Southern California" by The Mamas & the Papas—another inaccurate myth dispelled by his experience living in El Cajon.
